I started my first week of work today! And I'm actually doing something! Apparently by the time I get to Feburary I'll have designed the whole thing... So you know, if the new wing of the North Shore Hospital falls down, it's my fault!
Having my own job to do, (and mostly having no idea how to do it... Argh! :P) and get on with, makes the time pass real quick... I can't believe a whole week is over!

Anyhow, it's not too bad - a big factor of this is that some else from class (David Stock) is there too. At least I have someone with whom to hang out with during lunch... And on Monday Tim Fitz and Steven Hanna (2 other classmates at USYD) will start too, then it'll be party central - or rather party St Leonards!

Upstairs at work there's an open area with a pool table, tennis table, and a big screen and projector on which the Ashes are being screened. Over the past 2 days I've been explained most of the rules of cricket! :P Thanks David! There's also a small swimming pool, which apparently nobody uses... What a waste.

What else has happened in the past few weeks?
I've broke a couple of mirrors, and a glass bowl, during exams. Also went to U2 on Monday night which was AWESOME! Kathryn, David, Steve and I sharpened our elbows and scored a spot nearish to the stage (well, near the elipse area that surrounded the stage) despite getting there pretty late in the day. Woot!

Yesterday I went with my Jap class to Matsuya's on O'Connell st. SOOO tasty... but also SOOO expensive! Afterwards, having spent everything I had, I tried to withdraw money from my bank account... And found I had none!! Wahh! Had to borrow money off my brother to buy a train ticket today!

Getting home after karaoke at a place next to Hyde Park I had another late night... Man, this sleeping past one and waking up at 6:20 won't keep me going long! I'm gonna have to find out how to work that coffee machine in the tea room 3 metres from my desk!

Up, up, up and away!!

Hehehe, you don't know about cricket. Actually, you'll probably know more about it than me, considering I played it for only 2 seasons...

Maybe she means in your lifetime you spend around 50 years working? (late retirement, though...)

Yep yep, Vivian is right. But "50 years?" looked so much better than "45 years?" I mean, really.

Hi Matt! I'm working at Taylor Thomson Whitting a structural design firm in St Leonards! Oh, and I have now seen the scoreboard from your blog points posts, seeing that the cricket is in Adelaide this week...
