We arrived in Hobart on Friday evening and found our place of accomodation. It was 2 bedroom unit with a small balcony that looked over the harbour. Niiiiiccceee.
Near Hobart airport there was a fruit picking farm! You just go in, eat all you like, and pick and pay for only what you want to take away! When you're sick of boysenberries you head to the cherry trees... And when you're sick of cherries head to the apricots! Unfortunately the strawberries and raspberries weren't quite ripe, so we didn't get to eat many of them...
After going on a little walk to see the oh-so-pretty Russell falls
we saw a echidna wandering around the carpark. *waddle waddle waddle* oooh, so cute!
On the second last day we went up Mt Wellington. Driving to the top we had to go really slowly - we were in cloud and couldn't see further than 10 metres in any direction! Once upon the top the view was no better (eheh) though supposedly on a nice day you can see for ages... Hey, why can ages be used in a space sense? Or is it just my bad grammer? :P.
That evening at 9:50 we saw the first yacht come in from our balcony... Later on, at 2:30am, just as going to sleep became more favourable than watching the funkitoid anime Cowboy Bebop (that Liam bought Ben for Christmas) we saw another one come in...
On the final day we walked about the downtown harbour area and saw Yendys come in at 4th place before lunching and heading to the fruit farm for a second visit as a detour on the way to the airport!
