In Fukuoka since Friday and my homestay family is lovely. Not only has Mako (my host mum) planned many activities to integrate me but they live right in the centre of town, in a large apartment, only 3 mins walk from the school! Really convenient right?

I haven't had time to look around town yet, but I will do so shortly; I have a bike to use and plenty of time so it should be real easy!

On Sunday Mako, Shiku (her 3yo son) and Mako's friends went to a nearby island for a massive BBQ and some shellfish digging, pretty random to see so many people digging at the same beach!
Photos are up on the previous posts, so scroll down for a peek!

Up, up, up and away!!

You're Japanese is going to get heaps better in a host family! ...(by the way you are a much better correspondant than I am :P... Life here is so full on, writing it down takes lots of reflection and effort...and there's always some more Chinese to learn or restaurant to try!
